About Sumário De Touros Senepol

The Geneplus Program of Embrapa is a service technology that assists the designer in the definition, implementation and utilization of genetic resources of his flock in order to maximize their production. The technology has been well defined and is characterized by the constant interaction of the program's technical and assisted farms. The concept is that the improvement of practice does not follow with the genetic evaluation. It is necessary to outline an appropriate work plan and mainly apply the results, correcting where necessary. The summary, presented here, is the result of genetic evaluation by using information of the characteristics related to the production and reproduction of progeny bulls Senepol breed, obtained from the database of the program conducted in assisted farms. Based on these data, we considered the birth weight (BW), weight in the mother phase (P120), at weaning (PD) and yearling (PS) as well as post-weaning gain (ADG). For all these features, the Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) direct and maternal were estimated. Also included are features called subjective, Conformation Frigorífica scores at weaning (CFD) and Yearling (CFS), and the Scrotal Circumference at Yearling (PES). For the subjective characteristics and PES direct EPDs were estimated. For the current version of the application, 890 breeding Senepol breed were evaluated, of which 116 were selected for presentation in this issue. Bulls this relationship, however, may be dead. However, they contributed positively or negatively, at some point in the current stage of either flock. In addition, it is a the Farm Improvement Program is necessary to make a more comprehensive assessment possible, in order to provide information on many bulls hitherto unknown, or, perhaps, have been or are being used in one flock. This application has search capabilities and levels of tests, as well as the use of filters considering the estimates of EPDs and accuracies, period of birth, children in recent years and the number of herds with children.
